Sri Lanka is a beautiful country with so much to see and do, but unfortunately many of the activities advertised by the overwhelming amount of tour guides are not great for the environment, the nature and the sustainability of Sri Lankan tourism - some of the big ones to give a miss are turtle sanctuaries, whale watching and most of the safaris.
