Arugam Bay is the original home of surfing in Sri Lanka, renown around the world for its' many right hand sand bottomed point breaks and situated on the east coast just above Yala national park. There are so many different waves suitable for all levels in Arugam Bay many ideal for beginners to catch the wave that will hook them for life. Unfortunately many of the breaks are crowded with local surf instructors pushing people into waves and many of these so called surf instructors have never set foot on a surfboard in their life, luckily there are some fantastic surf instructors in Arugam Bay providing top notch beginner surfing lessons away from these dangerous crowds and GTP gladly promotes and supports their services. We will pair you up with one of these amazing ISA qualified Arugam Bay surf instructors who will provide you with all the surf equipment needed for your surf lesson but please bring water, sun cream and snacks. Once your booking deposit ($12) has been paid we will contact you with all the details of your instructor and your meeting place via your contact details provided upon check out - please pay the balance ($48 or equivalent in LKR) directly to your instructor upon arrival.
